Today was a day mostly for fishing. We got up early and headed for the Walker River. It is beautiful. Even when it started to snow lightly. Derek had a great time wading in the river and fly fishing while Iris and I walked around and took pictures. On the way home we drove through Fort Churchill State Park. Very cool. Tried a drive on the back road.... not such a good idea. Then that night Derek and I met our friends Jeff and Marie and Marie's parents. We met at the Silver Strike casino so, of course, after dinner we had a bit of time to gamble.
We woke up to a light layer of snow outside

Derek got right in the river when we got there

This is the second stop down the river a bit

Yep he got one on!!!

Iris and I all bundled up for the cold
Entrance to the park

Long dirt road.......well it turned out to be a very muddy wet road

Derek puts on his "why am I going this way" look. We did turn around and go back.

Iris points out a bird across the river we stopped at on the way out of the park (OK so yes I did ask them to pose for this pic)

It is hard to see but yep I won 88.85 on the penny slots. I started with 5.00 so not to bad :)

Here are Jeff and Marie. They are so great. We love visiting them.

Tomorrow we head to breakfast in Reno with Jeff and Marie then off to see my friend Nyda for lunch. So excited to see her.
